'Where is Anchorage's Community College' - April 26, 2012

The CTC Dean's Office invites the UAA campus community to a presentation by Stephen Strom, Ph.D.: "Where is Anchorage's Community College?"

Strom will present his insights on the results of his doctoral research tracing the history of the community college mission within the University of Alaska Anchorage. Stephen earned a doctorate of philosophy in education with concentration in community college leadership degree from the Graduate School and College of Education at Oregon State University. The title of his dissertation was: "Merging Missions: A Historical Analysis of the University of Alaska Anchorage, 1984-2009."

There will be a reception at 4:30 p.m. following the presentation to provide time for a lively discussion on Strom's original contribution to knowledge in the area of community college leadership. CTC will also recognize Deanna Schultz, Ph.D., and Dayna DeFeo, Ph.D., for successful completion of their doctorates this academic year.
