Dr. Rashmi Prasad named interim dean for CBPP

Professor Rashmi Prasad, new interim dean of CBPPAs I move into the role of interim provost at UAA, I am pleased to announce that Rashmi Prasad, Ph.D., has agreed to serve as interim dean for the College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP). Dr. Prasad has been a faculty member at UAA for the past 11 years. A professor of business administration, Dr. Prasad currently serves as the director of graduate programs in CBPP and is the chair of the University Honors Council.

Deeply committed to scholarship, Dr. Prasad's principal research interests include business ethics, intercultural management and health systems administration. Dr. Prasad has frequently negotiated the boundaries of culture and institutions in his academic life, engaging in significant academic work related to Russia, India and China, while also remaining active in consulting with businesses and providing expert input on health-related public policy issues.

Prior to completing his Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Dr. Prasad received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from the University of Illinois. A well-regarded teacher, Dr. Prasad has been frequently honored by students, peers and alumni for the quality of his teaching and student advising.
