Cecile Mitchell retires after 39 years of service to UAA

Director of Admissions Cecile Mitchell has announced her retirement, effective June 29. It is a difficult decision for someone who has dedicated 39 years of her life to UAA and its students. After so many years of service to the university, a goodbye with all deserving fanfare is in order and will take place at a later date.

In her 39 years at UAA, Cecile has filled almost every role imaginable in Admissions and Enrollment Services, including director of Admissions and registrar. Cecile led the university's study abroad program for many years and continues to lead the National Student Exchange program.

Until the search for a new director of Admissions is completed, UAA staff and faculty may direct their questions to:
