After 22 years of extraordinary service to UAA, Cindy Marshall, student affairs senior fiscal manager, has announced her retirement, effective June 29.

Cindy joined UAA as an administrative assistant to the vice chancellor for Student Services in 1990. Since then, she has held various administrative assistant, fiscal coordinator and executive assistant positions in the Campus Center, the Dean of Students Office, the Divisions of Student Services and Student Development and in the Office of Student Affairs.

Her work has spanned several student services organization models and she has helped grow Student Affairs into its current state. Cindy has supported the annual Student Affairs conference since its inception, coordinated several UAA Craft Fairs, provided leadership to UAA's Greek organizations, and she has served on many committees and task forces including the Petition For Refund Committee, the PFD Garnishment Committee and the Chancellor's Awards Restructuring Committee.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Bruce Schultz said, "I've always admired and greatly appreciated Cindy's natural ability to remain student-centered when responding to difficult student issues. She is a strong student affairs professional who believes in developing students through support and advocating for positive solutions. Please join me in congratulating Cindy on her upcoming retirement. Her knowledge, expertise and guidance will be missed dearly."
