Three UAA students were awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to study abroad for fall 2012 or academic year 2012-13. They are:
- Harold Huntington, Jr.: Construction Management, $4,500, for Prague, Czech Republic (AIFS study abroad program)
- Teslin Roys: Computer Science, $5,000, Norwich, England (exchange program with the U. of East Anglia)

The Gilman Scholarship is a competitive award that promotes diversity in study abroad by making it possible for students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study in another country. Read more about the scholarship at their website.
