Do you have off-campus housing questions? We have a service to help.

Student Union and Commuter Student Services puts on many events throughout the year and provides numerous resources to help commuter students with their off campus housing needs. There will be a housing fair in fall and spring semester, where local property owners, property managers and storage facilities representatives come to interact with students and answer questions or promote their services.

Throughout the year we also do informational workshops (Lodging Learnings) for commuter students on topics such as locating roommates, roommate agreements, leases, landlords, apartment/home safety, decoration, maintenance and cooking.

We also have information on transitional housing for students who are "in between" roommates, leases or apartments and need a transitional/temporary off-campus housing situation. There are also several electronic tools available for students to use on the Student Union and Commuter Student Service webpage to relocate, contact apartments and find roommates.

The Student Union and Commuter Student website has information on utilities and landlord rental rights.

Pad Mapper is a website to show the possible lodging options in the Anchorage area in correlation to their distance from UAA. It is a great tool to learn about the possible apartments and their availability and prices along with their distance to UAA.

Places 4 Students is a webpage in which landlords and students can use to find renters or rentals.  Students seeking roommates or lodging can create a profile using their UAA email and then communicate with other UAA commuter students in search of off campus housing
