FTC announces August workshops

The Faculty Technology Center (FTC) has announced its August workshops to help you get ready for fall semester. FTC will offer a series of tech workshops starting Aug. 14. Sessions include Blackboard favorites such as tests, grade center and discussion board; eLive sessions and open lab time. Registration is limited to 16 per session and is first-come, first-served. Feel free to drop in for any of the open lab times.

Please register in advance here. There must be at least three people registered two days before the session to avoid cancellation.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

  • 9-10:15 a.m.: Grade Center
  • 10:30 a.m.-noon: Tests in Blackboard
  • 5-7 p.m.: Set up Blackboard (open lab)

Wednesday, Aug. 15

  • 5-7 p.m.: Set up Blackboard (open lab)

Thursday, Aug. 16

  • 9-10:15 a.m.: SafeAssign Anti-plagiarism Tool in Blackboard
  • 10:30 a.m.-noon: Discussion Board in Blackboard
  • 1-2 p.m.: Intro to eLive (eLive only)
  • 2-3 p.m. eLive Whiteboards and Breakout Rooms (eLive only)

Tuesday, Aug. 21

  • 6-7 p.m.: Intro to eLive (eLive only)
  • 7-8 p.m.: eLive Whiteboards and Breakout Rooms (eLive only)

Wednesday, Aug. 22

  • 5-7 p.m.: Set up Blackboard (open lab)

Thursday, Aug. 23

  • 9-11 a.m.: Set up Blackboard (open lab)

Saturday, Aug. 25

  • 9-10 a.m.: Intro to eLive (eLive only)
  • 10-11 a.m.: eLive Whiteboards and Breakout Rooms (eLive only)
  • 11-11:30 a.m.: Polling Tools in eLive (eLive only)
  • 11:30 a.m.-noon: Chat in eLive (eLive only)
