David Dannenberg has joined UAA as director of the Faculty Technology Center. David has been working out of The Nature Conservancy's national headquarters in Arlington, Va. for the last 14 years. As learning manager, he designed, implemented and managed the Conservancy's external learning portal and online courses, which have created a global learning community of more than 9,000 students in 200 countries. He is skilled at managing the work of designers and developers, connecting them with content experts, scientists and community partners.

David is completing his Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology from Virginia Polytechnic University, with a research focus on how online technologies can enhance K-12 education.

His accomplishments in creating a strong international online learning presence for The Nature Conservancy and his skills in fostering a collaborative team environment with designers and developers across the country will serve the FTC well as they enhance their services to UAA faculty in technology-assisted instruction and learning.
