Don Decker, an instructor in the Art Department for many years and well-known in the Anchorage area, will be exhibiting a new body of work in the Arc Gallery at the UAA/APU Consortium Library. The exhibition titled "Warped" will run Sept. 14-Oct. 26. Reception is at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept.
 14.

"Warped" is an exhibition of 19 three-dimensional mixed media works by Don Decker, reflecting the artist's perspective of his Alaska experiences. Layers, lenses and mirrors are used to focus and distort the viewers' perception of size, place and time. Environments large and small are contained in box-like structures, some with video effects, in micro/macro combinations. The installation invites a playful peering and peeking into the artist's world.
