Interested in being a part of the campus safety process? Do you like free soup? Then the Campus Night Safety Walk is the perfect opportunity for you. On Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m., students, staff and faculty from all over UAA will meet at the Fireside Café.
From there, we'll form teams, break apart and survey all of main campus and the outlying locations for lighting and safety issues. Don't have any experience in this type of thing? Don't worry--it's not necessary. We have plenty of experienced helpers, but we could always use an extra pair of eyes. This is a night event, will involve some walking and will be chilly; dress accordingly.
There will be soup, coffee and tea available to help warm you. All volunteers (students, staff and faculty) are welcome. Come on out and help keep the campus safe.
