Fall 2012: Help get UAA's bike share program rolling

by Michelle Saport  |

USUAA Senator Max Bullock is coordinating an effort to debut a bike share program at UAA in either the spring or summer of 2013. The goal is to provide alternative, sustainable and "green" means of transportation for students to travel from class to class. Through the program, students will be able to rent bikes for free for at least two hours using their WolfCard.

The program is currently looking for donations of time (volunteers), funding (money for parts) and bikes (new, used or old; any and all).

The team behind the program will also be at the Bike Safety Fest (part of Safety Awareness Month) from 3-5 p.m. in the Student Union on Sept. 19 to provide information about the program.

For more information or to get involved, contact Max Bullock at (907) 854-9556 or rmbullock@alaska.edu.
