'In Dublin Town, Where I Was Born,' Oct. 3

by Michelle Saport  |

Wednesday, Oct. 3, 5-7 p.m.
UAA Campus Bookstore

Join Philip Price as he performs and explains the history of the songs from his debut CD, "In Dublin Town, Where I Was Born." In addition to being a UAA professor of logistics, Philip is a native of Dublin, Ireland and an Irish traditional singer and musician. Like many Irishmen, Philip was born singing and has been collecting, performing and writing Irish ballads for many years.

Also joining Philip will be Ben Saylor, a talented and versatile musician who also works at UAA's Institute for Social and Economic Research as a research associate and programmer. Ben plays many traditional Irish and folk instruments and honed his skills at the Willy Clancy Memorial Festival in Ireland.

Come join us for the craic! It's sure to be a great evening!
