Please join the UAA/National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) team for the award-winning "Welcoming Diversity, Prejudice Reduction" one-day workshop for UAA Students.

"The NCBI Diversity Workshop has changed the way I viewed myself and the world around me. I have become a better, more compassionate person because of NCBI; and I am forever grateful," said a UAA student who previously attended the workshop.

Do not miss the opportunity to engage in this experiential process, and a series of activities. The one-day workshop will focus on:

  • Celebrating similarities and differences
  • Recognizing information and misinformation learned about other groups including their own
  • Identifying and expressing pride in the group(s) to which a person belongs
  • Learning skills to effectively respond to offensive remarks and comments, and much more.

Every person counts and every person is important in welcoming diversity on our campus.
