Pay your parking citations with canned food, Sept. 19-Oct. 1

Parking Services is partnering in the "u CAN build it" event as part of ENGAGE Week at UAA. In an effort to help raise awareness about hunger in our community, Parking Services is allowing the payment of parking citations with canned food for a limited time. Parking Services will accept canned food for payment of parking citations Sept. 19-Oct. 1. Every four cans of donated food will be worth $10 off the price of a current parking citation. Only canned food will be accepted as payment-no boxes or bottles, please.

All cans collected will be used as a part of the building materials for the "u CAN build it" displays around campus. Watch for displays to be built during ENGAGE Week, Oct. 1-5, in the Student Union cafeteria. Help fight hunger in your community and join the competition!  All food will be donated to the Food Bank of Alaska when the winning structure is announced after Oct. 5.
