UAA Concert Board and Student Activities are proud to present stand-up comic Hannibal Buress at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium as part of UAA's Homecoming Week.

Chicago-bred and New York-based, Hannibal Buress delivers hilarious anecdotes and relates personal stories with a relaxed and unarming style. His tranquil manner, which occasionally gives way to excited rants, has landed him gigs on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," "Conan" and numerous other late night television programs. He has also made prime-time appearances on "Louie" and "30 Rock," co-hosts the Adult Swim series "The Eric Andre Show," and has previously written for "30 Rock" and "Saturday Night Live."

Buress has garnered praise from some of the most popular comedians in stand-up today. Chris Rock lauded him as the "funniest young comic I've seen in years." Jim Gaffigan called him "incredibly funny with a smart, unique style." Demetri Martin said, "Hannibal is funny on stage and off stage and right in between too." And Mike Birbiglia, last year's Homecoming comedian, said Buress is "one of the best joke writers I've ever seen."

In addition to these commendations, Hannibal Buress won Comedy Central's Best Club Comic Award this year and Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and Variety have all included him in their "Top 10" lists of comics.

Tickets are $5 for UAA students and $20 for the general public. All ticket prices are $5 more at the door. Beginning Monday, Sept. 17, at 8 a.m., tickets become available online at UAATix.com or in person at the UAA Student Union Information Desk.
