2012 National Suicide Prevention Week

by Michelle Saport  |

UAA Integrated Suicide Prevention Initiative (UAA-ISPI) offers gatekeeper training for students to help them recognize suicide risk and feel confident intervening with someone who may be suicidal. During this training you will learn about warning signs of suicide, how to effectively interact with someone who may be at risk for suicide and what campus and community resources are available.

There are no prerequisites to take part in this training and everyone is welcome. Sign up today to join the community of gatekeepers on the UAA campus!

Student gatekeeper trainings will be held in Room 104 of the Gorsuch Commons as follows:

  • Sept. 5, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Sept. 10, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Sept. 12, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
