UAA will be participating in the first annual Great Alaska ShakeOut on 10/18 at 10:18 a.m. Part of a national effort to educate people on earthquake
readiness, at 10:18 a.m. you will hear announcements telling you it's time to "Stop,
Drop and Hold On."
We hope that everyone on campus will actually stop what they're doing, drop to the floor under a desk and hold on to that piece of furniture. UPD's Office of Emergency Management would be happy to meet with your class or office group to facilitate training on earthquake readiness.
