Suicide prevention training opportunity - Nov. 12 and 13, 2012

by Michelle Saport  |

UAA Integrated Suicide Prevention Initiative (UAA-ISPI) offers gatekeeper training for students to help recognize suicide risk and feel confident assisting someone who may be suicidal. During the training, UAA students learn about warning signs of suicide, how to effectively interact with someone who may be at risk for suicide and about campus and community resources that are available.

There are no prerequisites to take part in this training and all UAA students are welcome. Sign up today to join the community of gatekeepers on the UAA campus!

Student gatekeeper trainings will be held:
Monday, Nov. 12, 4:30-6 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 207B
Tuesday, Nov. 13, 3:30-5 p.m. Gorsuch Commons, Room 104
To learn more about the UAA-ISPI and to sign up for training, visit our website at www.uaa.alaska.edu/ispi.
