Halloween at Mat-Su CollegeAlaska's Senior U.S. Senator, Lisa Murkowski, visited with about 80 students, staff and guests at Matanuska-Susitna College on Halloween. College Director Talis Colberg and an "Honor Guard" of college librarians dressed as Charlie Brown and his colleagues escorted her to the podium.

Colberg then conducted an improvised séance with a crystal ball to introduce Senator Murkowski. He determined through the séance that the senator was visiting the best campus in the University of Alaska system.

The senator spoke and entertained questions for about one hour. She then boarded a bus to experience the local mass transit system with several area officials. Senator Murkowski was given the special Matanuska-Susitna College Arctic Dragons pen to commemorate her visit to the college.
