A gift to the UAA General Scholarship Fund has the power to transform lives. New doors open and opportunities increase greatly for young people with a college education. Unfortunately, too many students lack the means to complete their college degree. Last year, only 15 percent of UAA students who received needs-based financial aid had their needs fully met. These students are dedicated and doing what they can to make ends meet, often caring for a family while attending classes. For many UAA students, a scholarship means the difference between holding two jobs or one, or even being able to attend college at all.
