The UAA Integrated Suicide Prevention Initiative is hosting Bryan Adams, part of the Active Minds Speakers Bureau. Active Minds Inc. is a nonprofit organization supporting a national network of students who organize campus-based chapters focused on mental health education. The UAA Active Minds chapter is a group of students, staff and faculty involved in mental health advocacy and campus events that work to change negative perceptions about mental health on our campus.

While visiting UAA, Bryan will discuss his personal journey as a combat veteran who was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) through the Veterans Affairs Administration. Currently a senior at Rutgers University, Bryan educates others on the benefits of mental health care and taking charge of one's personal recovery. His presentations will be followed by a Q-and-A.
