Alex Hills, Ph.D., is a distinguished affiliate professor at UAA and a distinguished service professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He has volunteered throughout his career, using his professional skills to help others. Now he teaches and encourages a new generation of young professionals to help solve problems of poverty, health and other ills facing the world. "Geeks on a Mission" is his new book about the awe-inspiring projects his students are accomplishing in developing nations.
