By now, we hope you've noticed some extra "green and gold" energy around the UAA campus:

• Seawolf Shuttles dressed up with fancy windows
• Banners across campus with amazing students and their achievements
• Vertical light pole hangings along Providence Drive, greeting our U-Med neighbors
• A gorgeous nighttime projection on the street side of the Wendy Williamson Auditorium.

Oh, and local TV and radio spots that highlight some of our most recent headliners.

Why all the fuss? Because it's bright and flashy and makes us feel good? Su-u-u-u-re.

But there's more to it. UAA is taking a moment to recognize its key assets, the students who come from all walks of life to improve themselves at this university, and the staff and faculty who work very hard to help make it happen.

This place is transformative. We say bring your ambitions, work with our staff and faculty, and launch yourself into the good life you've always envisioned. This is your amazing story.

So here's how to participate:

UAA STORIES - stop by one of our 10 locations this week and tell us your tale, Story Corps-style. Staff, faculty and students invited! We'll have reporters ready to record you. Locations and times listed below.

After the launch week, we are still interested in your stories! Just send us an email with a few details including your name, phone number, email and best time to reach you. Send that note to uaa_news@uaa.alaska.edu. A team of writers is standing by!

INSTAGRAM - share your campus photos at #amazingstoriesuaa

MY MANTRA - in six words, what's your approach to life? We have handouts. Play at any of our 10 locations.

UAA LIBS - you know how silly-crazy these are. Play on your phone. You'll get a copy, and so will we. We'll share them so everyone can laugh.
