2013 TRiO Day at UAA

Please join us for our National TRiO Day at UAA as we celebrate the positive impact of programs that raise postsecondary awareness and access for low-income and first-generation students and honor student achievement. There will be free parking in the South Lot for this event.

10:30 a.m.‐noon - Lunch, entertainment and student speakers

12-1 p.m. - Keynote speaker: Tyrone Flowers, J.D.
Tyrone Flowers is the founder of Higher M‐Pact, a nonprofit helping to turn today's high-risk urban youth into tomorrow's leaders. A TRiO alumni, he was honored in 2009 with a National TRiO Achiever Award for his significant contributions to his community.

1‐4 p.m. - Service projects
UAA, in partnership with United Way, offers event participants the opportunity to volunteer and give back to their community.
