Jedediah Palmer named acting president for PWSCC

by Michelle Saport  |

UAA Chancellor Tom Case recently announced that Jedediah "Jed" Palmer will serve as acting campus president for Prince William Sound Community College (PWSCC) while the search for a new campus president continues. This search is currently in its end stages and final results will be announced soon. Jed will return to his position as interim dean when the new president takes office.

Jed has been at PWSCC since April 2012 in the position of interim dean of instruction and previously served as acting campus president when former Interim PWSCC President Wes Lundberg was away from campus. Prior to joining PWSCC, Jed was a teacher, principal, Environmental Protection Agency grant coordinator and regional curriculum coordinator for nine years in the Native Village of Tatitlek. He holds a master of arts in education from Eastern Washington University and is a candidate for a doctorate in education from William Howard Taft University.

We thank Jed for taking on this role, allowing for a smooth transition as we complete the search for a new campus president.
