Thursday, April 18, 12-3 p.m. Student Union

April 14-20 is National Stress Out Week. Take a break and stop by the Student Union on Thursday, April 18, to make your own stress ball.

As the semester ends and finals are approaching, many students can feel overwhelmed and stressed. This is a natural reaction to the many projects and deadlines coming up. To reduce tension and increase energy, here are a few easy steps you can take:

  • Get plenty of sleep: Seven to eight hours is recommended.
  • Eat well: Make sure your diet includes lots of healthy fruits and vegetables.
  • Take a break: Leave some time to hang out and have fun.
  • Exercise: Go on a run or walk, or attend an exercise class.
  • Cut back on alcohol: The more you drink, the harder it is for your body to handle stress.
  • Breathe!

Sometimes students need to talk with someone. To learn more about resources on campus, visit the UAA-ISPI website.
