'Reflections on surviving an Alaska childhood,' April 24

Leigh Newman and Sherry Simpson share memories and experiences from growing up in Alaska, as well as the role it played in shaping their adult lives. Newman is the author of "Still Points North." Sherry Simpson is an associate professor in UAA's Department of Creative Writing and Literary Arts and the author of "Accidental Explorer."
