Scholarship opportunity for engineering students; apply by May 10

Alaska Power Association (APA) invites engineering students to apply for the APA Hank Nikkels Scholarship. The scholarship is available to students in electrical, civil and mechanical engineering and computer science with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. APA is giving away $1,000 scholarships and textbook stipends of up to $500 to Alaskans studying engineering in Alaska. To apply, students need to complete a scholarship form, provide an official transcript along with three letters of recommendation and write a 500-word essay. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 10. The scholarship application is available on the Alaska Power website.
