Chancellor Case and Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell visit with young entrepreneurs.

May 11 was Lemonade Day Alaska. With generous support from community sponsors, kids from Barrow to Kenai planned, built and managed their first entrepreneurial ventures. Through Lemonade Day, kids learn to manage the money they earn from their lemonade stands, with a portion going to charity, a portion to repay investors and some to savings.

Now in its third year, Lemonade Day Alaska has more than tripled in size from 1,000 participants in 2011 to an estimated 3,500 registered youth statewide in 2013.
