Cody Parker

UAA's track and field athletes put in impressive performances at the NCAA Division II championships this past weekend in Pueblo, Colo., including a powerful javelin toss by Cody Parker that earned him top honors. The 255-foot-10-inch throw was the second longest in Div. II history and smashed the Pueblo facility record by 20 feet.

National champ Parker was joined by Susan Tanui (2nd, 3,000 meter steeplechase; 4th, 5,000 meters), Ruth Keino (3rd, 5,000 meters; 3rd, 10,000 meters), Franz Burghagen (3rd, javelin) and Karolin Anders (5th, heptathlon) in being named All-American at the championships.
