Computer Science and Engineering faculty candidate presentations - July 1-3, 2013

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is hosting presentations by three faculty candidates. All are welcome to attend. The presentation schedule is as follows:
Moushumi Sharmin Monday, July 1, 2:15-3 p.m. ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, Room 105
Candidate Moushumi Sharmin will present "Supporting Re-appropriation of Information." Sharmin is a Ph.D. candidate in computer science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, working in human-computer interaction, intelligent information management and retrieval and visualization of information.
Tony Huang Tuesday, July 2, 2-2:45 p.m. ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, Room 105
Candidate Tony Huang, Ph.D., will present a talk on a computer visualization topic. Huang is currently a research scientist at the ICT Centre of Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia, where he conducts research on visualization, visual perception and augmented reality from a human-computer interaction (HCI) perspective.
Gurjot Singh Wednesday, July 3, 2:15-3 p.m. ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, Room 105
Candidate Gurjot Singh will present "Near-field Depth Perception in Augmented Reality." Singh is a Ph.D. candidate at Mississippi State University. His research interests include augmented and virtual reality and scientific and information visualization.
