Tanaina Child Development Summer Camps open for enrollment through Aug. 21

UAA's Tanaina Child Development Center (CDC) is hosting a summer day camp for children ages 5-10. At the camp, Tanaina's experienced teachers will lead a group of school-age children (three teachers per 14-20 children) into summer exploration of the natural world around us. Children will learn the basics of ecology, gardening, natural history, Alaska animals and much more through everyday field trips to various parks, lakes, botanical gardens, museums and other exciting locations. All daily activities will incorporate arts & crafts activities, reading and interactive games to support children's learning and discoveries.

Tanaina CDC is open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and no pre- or after-care fees are necessary. Camp tuition is $225 per week or $900 per month for a full 5-day schedule. You may also choose to register your child for two, three or four days per week and your tuition will be prorated accordingly. There are no registration fees. The camp runs up to the first day of school for the Anchorage School District. For more information, call the Tanaina CDC at (907) 786-1340.
