The Northern Renaissance Arts and Sciences Series, sponsored by UAA's M.F.A. in Creative Writing program, offers more than a week's worth of amazing lectures and writing every July. Chickasaw essayist, poet, storyteller and environmentalist Linda Hogan opens this year's series on July 14 with the keynote, followed by nightly readings by CWLA faculty, students and distinguished guest lecturers. Parking and admission are free. All readings begin at 8 p.m. in Rasmuson Hall, Room 101. Full schedule:
