Kenai Peninsula College's Kenai River Campus celebrated the grand opening of their two new facilities, the Career and Technical Education Center ($15.25 million total project cost) and Residence Hall ($17.8 million total project cost), and hosted a community barbecue on Thursday, Aug. 15. The event was a great success, drawing a crowd of approximately 500 people, including Regent Gloria O'Neill, Chancellor Tom Case, state and local elected officials and industry reps. Attendees enjoyed food, live music and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for each new facility, as well as tours provided by Residence Life staff and CTEC faculty.
