UAA is celebrating Safety Awareness Month by offering students, staff and faculty workshops and information about staying safe. This year's highlights include:
Pizza with Police Monday, Sept. 9, 2-3 p.m. Student Union, Den
Stop by and enjoy some pizza while talking with university police, ask your questions and get to know the officers at UAA.
"See a Red Flag, Help a Friend" display Monday-Friday, Sept. 9-13, all day Seawolf Drive and Cuddy Quad
Take a moment to honor the memories of the 1,100 lives lost on college campuses each year to suicide. Student Health and Counseling Center staff will be on site to answer questions and provide information.
Bike Safety Fair Tuesday, Sept. 10, 4-5:30 p.m. Student Union, Second Floor Hallway
Food, prizes and practical information regarding general bike safety and maintenance from local experts.
Bike Workshop by Off The Chain Tuesday, Sept. 10, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Student Union, North Cafe
Learn basic maintenance tips for keeping your bike in the best possible shape.
