UAA student first to receive LEEP scholarship two years in a row

UAA student Lena Illig, majoring in criminal justice, is the first person to receive a $1,000 Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) college scholarship two years in a row, the Anchorage Daily News recently reported. This year, she is one of 21 top students awarded the scholarship, which encourages their pursuit of law enforcement/public safety careers by the professional public safety officers of LEEP.
