CBPP Seminar Series: Environmental policy expert Jason Shogren on 'Experiments with Oaths' - Nov. 15, 2013

Jason Shogren, Stroock Professor of Resource Conservation and Management in the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Wyoming, will deliver a presentation titled, "Experiments with Oaths."

Shogren served as a senior environmental policy advisor in the Clinton White House, and is a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences. He is the current editor of the journal Resource and Energy Economics, as well as the author of many articles and books, including "Painting the White House Green," "Species at Risk," "The Benefits and Costs of the Kyoto Protocol" and "Integrating Economic and Ecological Indicators: Practical Methods for Environmental Policy Analysis."

Shogren received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize as a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), along with former Vice President Al Gore and several elite scientists. He was a lead author of the IPCC's third assessment report in 2001, and significantly contributed to a chapter analyzing the cost and benefits of climate control.
