Free wellness programs offered every Monday by Student Health and Counseling Center

The Student Health and Counseling Center (SHCC) offers the following wellness workshops for all UAA students, staff and faculty:

Move more with SHCC's "Couch to 5K" program Get moving with us and go from couch potato to being able to run three miles. If you're interested in improving your mental and physical health or just need a reason to get up each morning, this program is for you. The next session begins Monday, Oct. 28. Sleep better Every Monday, 9:45-10:30 a.m. Rasmuson Hall, Room 116

Are you having a hard time getting adequate sleep? Come learn tips for sleeping better and longer, the benefits of quality sleep and how to prevent transitions form disrupting your sleep. Drop-in; no registration required.

Worry less Every Monday (except Oct. 7 and Nov. 4), 10:30-11:30 a.m. Rasmuson Hall, Room 116

Have you ever forgotten what you just learned, despite spending hours studying? Do you ever have trouble focusing because you're too worried about a test? Come learn strategies for managing test anxiety. Drop-in; no registration required.

Get organized Monday, Oct. 7 and Nov. 4, 10-11:30 a.m. Rasmuson Hall, Room 116

Have you ever shown up to class only to find you don't have something to take notes with or your homework? Have you ever been left scurrying to find your classroom only to find you're in the wrong building? If this sounds like you, bring your books, binders, papers and pens and learn how to get organized. Drop-in; no registration required.
