Volunteers needed for UAA's Emergency Operations Center

Do you have a background in emergency response or planning? Or are you interested in helping UAA manage a crisis? The university's Incident Management Team is supported by an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on campus during the response and recovery phases of a serious emergency. Volunteers from among full-time employees are sought for roles in operations, planning, logistics, student affairs, finance and documentation-all working in an EOC. Free training will be provided, and we have a 3-year service commitment in mind. For the most part, the EOC would operate during a disaster and for some time after the disaster and would likely run 24/7; so we are looking to staff the EOC with three to five people in each position.
