Archaeological Developments in Yakutat Bay, Oct. 22

Tuesday, Oct. 22, 5-7 p.m. UAA Campus Bookstore

Aron L. Crowell, Alaska Director, Arctic Studies Center/Smithsonian Institution, along with students from the Yakutat Field School, UAA, will share new research in Eyak and Tlingit settlement history, including seal hunting at Yakutat since A.D. 1100. Field techniques and challenges to understanding Southeast Alaska cultures will be highlighted.
