20131028-commuter-student-appreciation-wkStudent Union and Commuter Student Services presents a week dedicated to showing commuter students (and residential students) they matter and belong to UAA. Thank you commuter students for circling the parking lot, riding the bus, pedaling the bike, riding the shuttle or pounding the sidewalk to show up to class and be involved at UAA.

This week is for you, and offers events to help you unwind from the semester stress, connect to campus and feel more at home at UAA. Take the time to:

  • Learn how to utilize DegreeWorks and Stay on Track with your UAA academic journey.
  • Enjoy good food and make new friends in the Student Union Den.
  • Learn how to navigate off-campus living possibilities in Anchorage.
  • Learn how to take better care of your automobile.
  • Get a chair massage.
  • Display your talents or watch fellow student's talent at Den Sessions Open Mic Night.
  • Celebrate the new computers, tables, furniture and open space at the Union Station Café Coffee Lounge.
  • Enjoy a discounted coffee and espresso beverages at the student-run-and-operated Union Station Café during happy hours.
  • Dress up in a costume and participate in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
  • Get rejuvenated and finish the semester strong.
