The Faculty Technology Center will offer the following workshops the week of Oct. 21-25:

Open Lab Monday, Oct. 21, 9-11 a.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214 or via Blackboard Collaborate

Open lab time for instructors to get assistance from FTC's instructional designers. No registration necessary to attend.

Effective Online Course Design Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2:30-3:45 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214 or via Blackboard Collaborate

Are you traveling alone in online instruction? Meet with other instructors and instructional designers to discuss effective online course design and explore a peer review process for online courses. The current FTC Course Design Checklist will serve as our guide. This workshop is a great opportunity for instructors new to online instruction, as well as those looking to get new ideas from their peers

Podcasting and Music Making in GarageBand Thursday, Oct. 24, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214

Learn how to create podcasts and make original music in GarageBand, as well as join in a GarageBand jam session. No musical experience required. However, this is a hands-on workshop, so be ready to rock out and create your very own podcasts and beats. Bring a laptop and/or iPad with GarageBand installed if you have one. Otherwise, you can use one of our devices.
