Movie and discussion: 'A Fierce Green Fire' - Nov. 21, 2013

Join the UAA Environmental Science 211 class for a free viewing the documentary "A Fierce Green Fire: The Battle for a Living Planet." A panel discussion about the movie and environmental activism in our community will follow. Come with questions about your local environmental issues.

The movie starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by a break for free pizza from Moose's Tooth at 7:30 p.m. The panel discussion starts at 8 p.m. Bring friends and family and join us to learn how to help our world heal.

The panelists volunteering to speak are: Sam Syder, representative of the Renewable Resources Coalition; Bob Shaverson, representative of Cook Inlet Keeper; Angela Liston, faculty at UAA; and Jamie Trammell, faculty at UAA and author of "The Emotional Scientist."
