Dec. 8, 2013: UAA Opera Ensemble presents 'A Little Weill'

The UAA Opera Ensemble is comprised of UAA voice majors and theater majors, directed by Mari Hahn. "A Little Weill" features some of Kurt Weill's most popular music, woven into an original story presented through song, acting and dance. What happens when a mysterious and charismatic man encounters a troupe of female dancers? Seduction and romance, followed by jealousy, competition and intrigue. Featured performers are: Amanda Boger, Kira Eckenweiler, Paula Gray, Malcolm Kuntz, Becca Maher, Allison Polowy and Sujin Scott. The ensemble will continue to explore the genre of musical theater with a full production of "The Threepenny Opera" in the spring.
