by Michelle Saport  |

The new Department of Continuing Education at UAA has just finished its first fall semester of noncredit classes with enrollments of nearly 500. Classes included computer applications and skill building, career readiness and many lifelong learning topics including cooking, art and kids classes.

The spring 2014 schedule will be available on the Continuing Education website Dec. 20. The department is rolling out new classes including one-day classes in Word, Excel and PowerPoint that will teach you how to create that great presentation to wow your instructors. Other class offerings will teach you how to make sushi, create luscious desserts, improve your musical skills and much more.
