Documenting Learning with ePortfolios Wednesday, Dec. 4, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214 or via VTC*

This fall, the Faculty Discovery Common will be reading "Documenting Learning with ePortfolios, A Guide for College Instructors." The book provides higher education instructors with a theory-to-practice approach for understanding the pedagogy behind ePortfolios and tips for helping students use them for recording and reflecting on their learning in multiple contexts. The authors outline a framework of six critical iterative tasks to undertake when implementing ePortfolios for student success. Filled with real-life models of successful ePortfolio projects, the book also includes guidance for faculty development to support the use of ePortfolios and covers the place of ePortfolios in institutional assessment efforts.

Coffee and Blackboard Updates Friday, Dec. 6, 9-10:30 a.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214 or via Blackboard Collaborate

Stop by the FTC for coffee and a 15-minute tutorial of newly upgraded tools in Blackboard, with an opportunity to get an answer to any questions you have. This is also a great time to work on your spring course shells and get support from an instructional designer.
