by Michelle Saport  |

Sunday, Feb. 9, 4-5:30 p.m. Fine Arts Building, Recital Hall

Join Associate Professor of Music Christopher Sweeney (trombone) and Dean Epperson (piano) for an afternoon of 20th century solo literature for the trombone. Generally not thought of as a solo instrument, this recital highlights the many facets of the trombone, from its ability to play smoothly and song-like to its brassy outbursts. The recital features prominent pieces for the trombone by Saint-Saens, Rota, Jorgensen, Borden and Sulek.

Tickets are $8 for UAA students, $16 for non-UAA students, seniors and military, and $19 for the general public. Buy yours today at UAATix.com.
