Feb. 28, 2014: Deadline to apply for Selkregg Community Engagement and Service Learning Award

Faculty proposals are now being accepted for the 2014 Selkregg Community Engagement and Service Learning Award. The proposal deadline is Friday, Feb. 28, by noon.

The Selkregg Community Engagement and Service Learning Award of $5,000 supports faculty with developing community-based research, creative activity and course-based service-learning projects. The award seeks to encourage, inspire and reward UAA faculty for engaged scholarship that creates and sustains our community partnerships. The purposes of the award are to recognize community engagement projects with significant discipline-based scholarship, community partnership and student leadership development. The proposed projects should ultimately aim to improve the quality of life for Alaska residents and develop civic leadership, democracy and social justice on campus and in the community.
