March 2016: Gear up for fall registration and brush up on FERPA at upcoming brown bag luncheons

Priority registration for fall 2014 begins April 4. Help make sure you and your students are ready for another semester by attending these upcoming brown bag luncheons, hosted by the Office of the Registrar:

Gearing Up for Registration Monday, March 3, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Lyla Richards Conference Room (Student Union, Room 103)

This session will cover the new credit-to-audit deadline, how to determine a student's priority, common registration pitfalls to avoid and how to troubleshoot common registration problems. The information is geared toward faculty, staff and advisors, but all are welcome to attend.

FERPA Training Thursday, April 10, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Lyla Richards Conference Room (Student Union, Room 103)

Learn more about the Family Education Rights & Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), including directory information, what you can and cannot share, what you must share, how to protect student privacy and how to respond to suspected violations. The training will offer an overview as well as the opportunity to ask questions. Information is geared toward faculty, staff and advisors, but all are welcome to attend.
