Spring 2014 Global Opportunities Expo

UAA's Office of International & Intercultural Affairs organizes the Global Opportunities Expo every year to encourage people to explore the connections between study abroad, academic programs and international internships and careers. Chat one-on-one with individuals from a variety of organizations and learn about exciting academic, intensive language, internship and service learning programs in more than 60 countries.

Global Opportunities Expo (signature event) Wednesday, Feb. 12, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Student Union, Upper Hallway

Explore the connections between study abroad, academic programs and international careers. Come meet with representatives from UAA study abroad partner programs, Peace Corps, Japanese Exchange & Teaching (JET) program, International Education Careers, UAA Department of Languages, Student Health & Counseling Center's Travel Clinic and more.

The What/Where/How of Study Abroad at Mat-Su Thursday, Feb. 13, 4-5 p.m., in Fred and Sara Machetanz Building, Room 103

Engage! Service and Internships Abroad Thursday, Feb. 13, 12:45 p.m. Rasmuson Hall, Room 112

Learn about international service learning, internship opportunities and UAA's Second Bridge Scholarship.

Language Games and Pizza Night Wednesday, Feb. 12, 8-10 p.m. Gorsuch Commons, Room 106

Enjoy a fun evening playing games in different languages with UAA's Language Clubs. This event is open to all, regardless of language level. Free pizza will be provided.

Sing a Song in Tlingit Wednesday, Feb. 12, 8-10 p.m. Gorsuch Commons, Cama-i Room

Learn to sing a song in Tlingit. This event is open to all, regardless of language level.

"Study Abroad Only" Fair Wednesday, Feb. 12, 5:30-8 p.m. Gorsuch Commons, Lobby

Talk to representatives from Academic Programs International, American Institute for Foreign Study, GlobaLinks Learning Abroad and Institute for Study Abroad-Butler University.
